See's

Every year at Easter we would get a See's chocolate easter egg, with a creamy fudge center, sometimes with nuts. Today our home teacher brought over a box of See's candies and it had a couple of those in miniature size. I haven't had one in YEARS and it brought me back to Easter's growing up in Chatsworth. What are some of your Easter memories?

Obviously my memories have nothing to do with yours, but I'll share anyway! :) I was just remembering the fancy, colorful, matching easter dresses that mom made us girls one year... and how upset she was with dad when he discovered he only had black and white film!
I also remember the year the "Easter Bunny" just learned to make her own chocolates and that's what was found that Saturday morning. None of the regular candies and jelly beans we were used to. All homemade chocolates- all from the Easter molds that we had at home. Hmmm...

I remember our baskets seemed gourmet and I liked that.

We always had our Easter on Saturday as well. We would go to the mountains for a picnic, always at the same place. After we would get things set up, we would hike up to the waterfall with my Dad and when we got back the Easter bunny had found us! We would spend the rest of the afternoon taking turns hiding the eggs :) Fun times!

After a while we got the homemade chocolates too, I always liked them much better anyways :)

Abby, that sounds like a very fun tradition!
