Danny's baseball team, Team MOJO, won the 2008 Super Series Colorado State Championship for 11 year olds this past weekend in Woodland Park, Colorado!!!
Even though half of his team is 9 & 10, including Danny, they overpowered 2 of the best 11 year old teams in Colorado and the #1 team from New Mexico...
The first game of the tournament they upset the overwhelming favorite to win the tournament, the Parker Bears, 15-7. Danny made two phenomenal catches in the outfield to rip their hearts out...
In the 2nd game, Danny overpowered the New Mexico Roadrunners team by pitching a brilliant game. He allowed only 2 runs over 4 innings of work. Team MOJO won 13-4...
In the Championship game, Team MOJO fell behind early 8-3 to the Grand Junction Golden Eagles. Danny was part of a 6-run come from behind rally to win the game and the state championship in the final inning!!
We are very proud of Danny & his team... although they were the youngest team, they played together and never gave up!!!

That is so exciting!!! I can just imagine the screaming and cheering that must have gone on. Congrats Danny & Rick!! And the whole family I'm sure!!

Who gets to keep the big trophy at their house?! Do you now compete against teams from other states or is this the end of the road for this age group?
